We're constantly busy at Load.com developing new features to existing services, helping clients improve upon what they currently have through education and a little bit of hand-holding, and even helping new clients with everything ranging from brand strategy to technology integration. It's a fun, exciting job (if you're creative and competitive) that keeps you very busy AND by the end of the week you feel exhausted and ready to take a nap. But, this is no time for the weak-minded or faint-of-heart because we have two, count-em, 2 of the best sporting events happening in 2007 on the same weekend. But, I'll dive into that a little further down the page.
Now, let me try to stay on task and mention a few things that are going on currently at Load.com that are pretty cool:
- CompanyWebsite 2.0 (Code Name: Lochness - because it's a mythical creature and so is CW2.0)
Not to put any pressure on Adam and the geniuses in R&D, but from what I've seen of CompanyWebsite 2.0, I can arguably say that we'll have the best content management system for Franchisors on the market, hands down. - Service Verticals for CompanyWebsite
And, after CW2.0 goes live, we're going to launch a few other sites targeting specific market niches that could benefit from our content management system. We're thinking sports, real estate, political, and....stay tuned. - Web Design, Web Design, and... oh yeah, Web Design -
Load.com has been commissioned by various marketing firms and high profile companies to build, fix, or improve upon existing online strategies. I always knew we were good, but its nice to have it reaffirmed every once in a while :). - Re-Branding Strategy and Pricing Changes @ Load.com
I mentioned this before, but we're working on changing how Load.com looks and functions. We're also going to be adjusting the costs associated with a number of our services which will be sure to make all of our clients happy. - LoadNews
If you're a Load subscriber, we'll be sending you a monthly newsletter with various company announcements, client highlights, and special promotions on Load services. Oh, and we'll be launching our new LoadToons from the Load newsletter, so be sure to pass it along to friends.
LoadStats FREE Trial
Admittedly, we should have done this about a year ago, but we're finally offering the FREE Trial of LoadStats Professional (Basic Analytics) and Enterprise (E-Commerce/Ad Tracking) to the public. If you're looking for a solid alternative to log file analyzers or need a third-party provider as a checks and balances for your PPC campaigns, then click here and get started. With the LoadStats' Free Trial, you'll get up to 30-Days at no charge or up to 250,000 page views, whichever comes first.
Now, for the Fun Stuff this Weekend...
Ah yes, my favorite part of the blog where I can take off my Nerd hat and talk sports.
The Fight of the Year
I don't know how else to say it, but if you're not watching this fight you either don't have a friend with a good television (or don't have friends period), you're someone who didn't play competitive sports (way to go momma's boy), or you've been roped into going to a wedding or must attend a funeral (my condolences). If you don't fall into any of those categories, then AWESOME, you're watching the fight. This promises to be a great fight and I can't think of a more exciting time in sports that get's people talking (yes, even the Superbowl). So, here's to hoping the fight doesn't end with a sucker punch and De La Hoya beats this cocky kid down. Of course, I need to ask the resident boxing guru, Dawn Sousa at UNLVTickets who she likes because she's the only woman I know that mixes good looks with a ferociousness that is displayed when she's watching a guy get a punch in the face. :)
COMMENT BACK FROM DAWN:
By the way, although I have love for Oscar, it is going to be a tough fight for him. Mayweather is so quick, all that crap he talks is usually backed by his skill. Don't get me wrong though I would love for him to get knocked [CENSORED] out!! :) Did you see the special show on HBO about their training? I loved it. (TOLD YOU. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.)
The Derby is Just Awesome - 'Nuff Said
Okay, I'll be the first to admit that I don't really relate to wealthy people with stables of horses competing in a race that essentially amounts to bragging rights because they don't need the money (I know the winning horse gets to stud - poor guy). However, I can relate to all the rough-necks on the infield with their $2-tickets screaming at the top of their lungs as the horses come around the corner for the home stretch. I bet on horse racing once a year and THIS is the race. The pageantry, excitement, hype, and chance at a little extra cash in less than 2 minutes is great entertainment. By the way, lay the house on Hard Spun at 15-1. (OOH, SO CLOSE. 2ND PLACE IS FIRST LOSER)
How 'Bout those Golden State Warriors!?
Dallas Maverick's Head Coach, Avery Johnson said it best, "Baron Davis was just special." If you didn't watch any of this playoff series, I'm sorry you missed some entertaining basketball; unless you like defense, then I would say, "Get out of the '90s bro." I'm not going to go on and on about how great Golden State was and I'm not going to slam Dallas for a poor showing. Simply I would like to say how impressed I was with Mark Cuban and his graciousness after the game -- it was unexpected. And, I hope that Avery Johnson remains coach because I haven't seen a classier coach in defeat. That said, I hope Golden State is playing Phoenix in the Western Conference finals.
That's it for this week. I could touch on a few major things that Load is working on, but they're in Beta so I can't announce that yet. I could also talk baseball, but there's too much to say and I have work to do. Time to put the Nerd hat back on... hope you have a great weekend.
