I followed the instructions for POP3 set up, but I still can't download my e-mail. Can you help me?

Here are some common reasons why e-mail accounts with POP3 access enabled may not be able to download messages:

  1. Internet Service Provider is Unavailable or Down
LoadMail is remotely hosted and accounts unable to receive using the LoadMail POP3 server should verify the following:
    a. Check your Internet browser for access to alternate web sites.
    b. If using a router, check the connection to the Internet.
    c. Check to see that your computer is properly connected to the network.
  2. Wrong Username/Password
Check that the login name being used is the full e-mail address. Be sure to replace the "@" symbol with the "~".
  3. Default POP3 Port is Blocked
Change your Incoming (POP3) Port settings to Port 22 or Port 80.
  4. DNS Failure
Contact your ISP and verify that their DNS servers are functioning correctly.
  5. LoadMail is Down for Maintenance
Load attempts to schedule maintenance during off-peak hours. We apologize for any interruption of service and any inconvenience this may cause.
