What is the daily limit on the number of e-mails each user can send?

In an effort to curb spam and abuse across the Internet, restrictions have been placed on daily outbound messages sent by e-mail subscribers.  E-Mail subscribers will be notified with a pop-up warning them that they have exceeded the outgoing message limit for a 24-hour period.  Depending upon the overall storage size of the user's mailbox, sending restrictions may vary.

However, based on historical usage data, the change should not cause any problems for e-mail suscribers.  Imposing rate limits on e-mail usage is fairly common among Internet service providers as a way to stop bulk messages before they're ferried onto various networks. But as effective as it can be to trip up potential spammers, it may occasionally frustrate legitimate mailers who may be sending, for example, a party invitation or political message to friends.  Other Web-based mail services, including Hotmail and Yahoo!, also have outbound rate limits.
