What does 'Cannot resolve POP3.loadmail.com' mean?

E-mail accounts with POP3 access enabled must authenticate to the LoadMail servers before sending and receiving e-mail. Listed below are common reasons why a user will receive the "cannot resolve POP3.loadmail.com" error.

  1. Internet Service Provider is Unavailable or Down
    LoadMail is remotely hosted and accounts unable to resolve the POP server over the Internet will not receive service.
    Please verify the following:
    a. Check your Internet browser for access to alternate web sites.
    b. If using a router, check the connection to the Internet.
    c. Check to see that your computer is properly connected to the network. 
  2. DNS Failure
    Contact your ISP and verify that their DNS servers are functioning correctly.
  3. LoadMail is Down for Maintenance
    Load attempts to schedule maintenance during off-peak hours. We apologize for any interruption of service and any inconvenience this may cause.
