I'm not getting an e-mail message that I was expecting. How come?

Users may not be receiving e-mail to their account, or to their Inbox for a number of reasons which include:

  1. User's mailbox is full
  2. E-Mail message was inadvertantly filtered to the wrong folder (i.e. user-created folder or junk-mail folder)
  3. User's filters are set to "Exclusive" mode, which only allows the user to receive message from people in their Address Book
  4. Sender's e-mail server has a dynamic IP Address (see Related Articles)
  5. Sender is mistyping the user's e-mail address
  6. Sender's address is blocked by the e-mail system
  7. Sender's e-mail address in unknowingly listed with spam lists (SpamCop, Cloudmark, etc.)
  8. Sender's IP Address is blocked
