I am unable to communicate with POP3.loadmail.com when using Outlook. What do I do?

E-mail accounts with POP3 access enabled must authenticate to the LoadMail servers before receiving messages. Listed below are common reasons why users will receive the "cannot communicate with POP3.loadmail.com" error.

  1. Internet Service Provider is Unavailable or Down
LoadMail is remotely hosted and accounts unable to receive using the LoadMail POP3 server should verify the following:
    a. Check your Internet browser for access to alternate web sites.
    b. If using a router, check the connection to the Internet.
    c. Check to see that your computer is properly connected to the network.
  2. ISP Blocks Port 110
Change your Incoming (POP3) Port settings to Port 22 or Port 80.
  3. DNS Failure
Contact your ISP and verify that their DNS servers are functioning correctly.
  4. LoadMail is Down for Maintenance
Load attempts to schedule maintenance during off-peak hours. We apologize for any interruption of service and any inconvenience this may cause.
