Having trouble sending attachments using POP3 access and Outlook?

Sometimes users have trouble trying to send attachments when composing the message in the RTF (Rich Text Format). This setting is a Microsoft® Outlook® setting and is designed to work with copies of Outlook, and MS Exchange servers. However, e-mail clients/providers are able to deal with this type of attachment, including the LoadMail web-based e-mail system.

Rich Text Attachment ExampleTo find out whether Outlook is sending the mail in the RTF mode:
Look at the way the attachment(s) appear in the message onece you have uploaded the attachment.  If the attachment appears as an Icon in the message body and NOT as a unique field on the Outlook message, then the message is being composed in RTF mode.

To correct this:
While in Outlook, click the Help button, type 'Format RTF ' in the search box and see which 'fix' applies to your Outlook version.
