One of the most common questions we get asked at Load.com that truly has nothing to do with our products is, "How do I turn off the auto-complete function in LoadMail so people can't login to my mailbox?" Well, that's actually a great question, but the answer has more to do with the browser you're using and less to do with LoadMail's login screen.
So, okay...How do I fix it then?
Glad you asked. Since I'm an Internet Explorer guy and haven't really jumped on the dethrone-microsoft-and-annoint-google bandwagon, I can really only tell you how to deactivate this function in IE. So, please see the steps below:
- With Internet Explorer open, go to the TOOLS menu and click INTERNET OPTIONS from the menu.
- A window will be displayed with a series of tabs. You will want to select the CONTENT tab which is located in the middle.
- Located on the CONTENT tab is a section called PERSONAL INFORMATION. Please click the AutoComplete button.
- A preferences window will be displayed and you can select the options and preferences you would like for your browser. As you will see, you have the option to Clear Forms and Clear Passwords! YES! Your privacy can be yours again!
So, there you have it! In one fell swoop, you're back in business and your secretive email correspondence is again safe from your meddling co-workers!
