Mail Forwarding FAQ

Mail Forwarding FAQ

Listed below is a series of frequently asked questions related to the LoadMail Business E-Mail service.  If your question is not listed below, please chat live with a sales representative. Whether you're new to LoadMail or an experienced user, a sales representative will help you find answers to frequently asked questions like these:
Q:  What is Mail Forwarding?
A:  Mail Forwarding is a service designed to accommodate businesses or entrepreneurs trying to establish an online brand while still utilizing existing e-mail resources already in place.  Mail Forwarding accomplishes this function by using e-mail aliases to re-route e-mail messages to designated e-mail addresses defined by the account manager.

Q:  Is Mail Forwarding the right e-mail solution for my business?
A:  If you're looking for an e-mail solution that allows you to create e-mail addresses at a specific domain name and forward the mail to a specific e-mail address, then Mail Forwarding is the service for you.  Please note, Mail Forwarding is NOT an alternative to LoadMail's Business E-Mail service.  Mail Forwarding enables businesses to re-route incoming messages to a designated recipient.

Q:  Do I need a domain name to use Mail Forwarding?
A:  No. If you do not already have a domain name, we will register the name of your choice for you! Mail Forwarding is a quick and easy way to get a unique e-mail address for your business.

Q:  How do I sign up for Mail Forwarding?
A:  Easy! Call today and speak with a Load representative. We can help you find the domain name you're looking for and get started immediately.

Q:  Is there a set-up fee required for Mail Forwarding?
A:  No. When you sign up for Mail Forwarding, your monthly service fee covers administration, account provisioning, and technical support during the initial set-up process.

Q:  What items am I required to supply for the Mail Forwarding set-up process?
A:  All Mail Forwarding subscribers must supply a list of e-mail accounts that will be created and pointed to an existing e-mail address. Each account is also required to establish a payment method that will be associated with the account for monthly billing cycles.

Q:  How can I manage my users?
A:  Mail Forwarding service is managed through a web-based administrative control center which can be accessed anytime, anywhere with an Internet-connected Web browser.  The designated account manager will be given access to the Control Center where e-mail aliases can be created, modified, and deleted.

Q:  Can Load help set-up my existing users?
A:  Yes. Accounts setting up a large number of e-mail aliases, or adding a large number of aliases to an existing account, can request assistance from Load, at which time you will be instructed to provide a list of e-mail accounts in a specified format.

Q:  Can the LoadMail system handle all the e-mail?
A:  LoadMail is designed to meet the scalability requirements, performance expectations, and reliability standards that you would expect from an outsourced e-mail provider. We seamlessly deploy additional hardware and software resources to meet increasing usage demands, and have undergone rigorous testing to insure its scalability.

Millions of e-mail messages from around the world pass through our system everyday!

Q:  Will incoming e-mail messages ever be lost?
A:  E-Mail connecting to the Mail Forwarding service will be delivered to the designated e-mail address on record with Load.  LoadMail will attempt to forward e-mail messages to the designated forwarding account; however, in the event the receiving mail server is unavailable, Load will hold incoming messages and try to make a connection to the receiving server. Once a connection is made, mail will be delivered as needed.

NOTE: Load is not responsible for the collection and distribution of incoming e-mail with your existing mail provider.  If mail is not properly forwarded from LoadMail to your existing e-mail account, the problem may reside with your existing mail provider.

Q:  Do I have to worry about junk mail (SPAM)?
A:  Mail Forwarding enables businesses to route incoming e-mail message through a centralized account, or group of accounts, at a unique domain name. The Mail Forwarding service allows businesses to create an online identity, but does not scan incoming mail for viruses or filter incoming messages for junk mail.  If you are seeking a business-level e-mail solution, please review our Business E-Mail service.
