Q:  What types of files does YouLoad support?

A:  YouLoad is a large file delivery service and will send and receive any file format. YouLoad does not directly support specific file formats. The ability to open a file is dependent on the programs installed on the computer when trying to open the file.

Q:  Who can I send files to with the YouLoad service?

A:  With YouLoad, the recipient can be anyone with a working e-mail address.

Q:  Will YouLoad send file(s) to multiple recipients?

A:  YouLoad allows you to send files to multiple recipients. The number of recipients allowed is dependent on your YouLoad subscription level. Click here to compare the service levels.

Q:  Why is YouLoad better than standard FTP?

Q:  Can recipients view files I've sent to other users?

A:  No. YouLoad is a secure file delivery and transfer service. The sender can define who has access to the file on an individual file basis and can also define a file download password for extra security. All files contain a uniquely encrypted URL for individual access.

Q:  Does YouLoad usage affect my e-mail storage?

A:  No. YouLoad is a third-party hosted solution and does not require subscribers to maintain additional storage for use with the YouLoad service.

Q:  Do I have to download software to use the YouLoad service?

A:  No. YouLoad is a web-based service and is accessible from any Internet browser.

Q:  Does YouLoad work on Windows and Mac?

A:  Yes. YouLoad is cross-platform compatible and will work in Windows and Mac and any other operating system with Internet browsing capability. YouLoad is compatible with most major Internet browsers including: IE 6.0+ and Firefox 1.5+.

Q:  How do I know when a file has been sent to me?

A:  All recipients of files sent via the YouLoad service receive an e-mail notification message with a file download link embedded in the body of the message. All YouLoad subscribers can send files directly to other YouLoad members. Files will automatically be linked to their account on the Received Files page.

Enterprise YouLoad subscribers will also receive e-mail notifications to a pre-defined e-mail address when files have been sent via the Upload Page.

Q:  Why should my business choose the YouLoad service?

A:  YouLoad is a fully branded large file delivery service. With digital files requiring larger file size, it is necessary to have a large file delivery solution that is not limited like standard e-mail attachments. YouLoad also provides businesses with a secure file delivery solution with the added ability to historically track sent files on a download-by-download basis.

Q:  Can my customers send me files with the YouLoad service?

A:  Yes. Enterprise YouLoad subscribers have the ability to allow clients to send files directly to the subscriber's YouLoad account from a unique Upload Page location.

Q:  Is YouLoad customizable?

A:  Yes. YouLoad is brandable for e-mail notifications, file download pages, and the file Upload Page. YouLoad can be customized by users with an understanding of HTML and CSS to fully brand the YouLoad service to match the business brand.

Q:  Can I give my Upload Page a custom URL?

A:  Yes. YouLoad can be configured to resolve to a specific URL definable in your DNS settings. This functionality allows businesses to use their existing website URL to create a unique file Upload Location easily identified by clients.

Q:  Are my file transfers secure?

A:  Yes. YouLoad allows files to be individually password protected and restricted by download and time. YouLoad also incorporates strong encryption methods to encode the file download URL, thus ensuring trackable and secure access to all files delivered by YouLoad.
